2009 Sauvion Muscadet

This wine is a wine from Loire Valley. Mucadet is the name of this wine does not refer to the kind of grape it was produced. It is made of a grape close related to chardonnay called Melon de Bourgogne. The characteristics of Muscadets are light bodied and dry.

This wine, from the picture, is from Muscadet-Sevre et Maine ,which uses the name of the two  rivers flow through this region as its name, is responsible for majority of the Muscadet production. It has lemon zesty flavor and good lively acidity and juiciness. Decent finish with moderate minerality.

DWA rating: 7.5/10………… Recommended. Good price ($15) for this nice wine.
