Russian River Valley AVA is very well known for its pinot noirs. Its cool climates and fog prevent the grapes from ripen too early and allow the grapes to maintain its acidity. Combined the lively acidity and the red berry sweetness, the wines from this AVA is great in its own way.
This is a wine from the Russian River Valley which can represent this terroir pretty well. It has some oak and aromatic cherry flavors on the nose. Medium bodied with good acidity to balance the cherry sweetness. It is most easily enjoyed about 1~2 hours after opening.
DWA rating: 7.5/10…….Recommended. Very enjoyable.
